Is it winter already?

Fall has come and gone here in Cache Valley. Winter was upon us with the bitter cold wind and blowing snow last night(the wind chill was -15!). Here are a few things we have done this fall. You will see that we have mostly been attending USU football and basketball games.

Boise State came to Romney Stadium on November 20th for the Aggies last home game of the season. It was a pretty big deal with Boise being ranked #6 in the nation and of course they trampled over USU. We sat next to the Bangerter family for the season.

Basketball season is now upon us. Below is a picture from the USU vs BYU game which was insane! USU ended up sending those cocky cougars back home with their tails between their legs. We thought the Spectrum was the unbeatable venue in the country until St. Mary's beat the Aggies on Saturday.

Nicole turned 22 on December 4th so we celebrated at Callaway's. We all pitched in to help Dave get her some ski's she was not expecting for another year. She was so surprised and happy that the tears came flowing. It was awesome! The whole restaurant seemed to stop eating to watch her open her gift.

Big announcement.......here is a picture of our dirt! We are about to start building a home any day now in Smithfield. Just waiting to sign some papers in the next few days so we can dig the hole and pour the concrete. We will try and keep you all updated.

Prepare Yourself...

Prepare for a picture overload from the last month.

Our two year anniversary was at the start of September. Our gift to each other was a new camera so hopefully out pictures are a higher quality from now on. We went to SLC for a Bees game and shopping in Park City. We stole peanuts from Five Guys Burgers and Fries for the game.

Devin and Liz Daniels are officially gone to Arizona. Before they left we went to The Owl for dinner and a great truck derby.

Go Aggies??? We went down to BYU to watch the Aggies get their tails kicked with the Bangerter Family, Dave, and Nicole. There are more pictures but most of the time someone was looking away so this is what we have.

We both had a week of vacation to use so we booked a cruise to the Mexican Riviera for the start of October. It was such a great break from work and so much fun to do and see a lot of things we have not experienced before. We luckily had great weather up until the last day at sea and the water was much warmer than we expected. Below are pictures of our ship, a hobycat sailboat we hired, "Divorce Beach", and our dinner group.

Natalie will probably kill me when she sees this but I am proud of her. Yesterday she sent me the fruits of a photo op she had with her company. She is all over their marketing campaign for their new product which is pretty cool if you ask me.

More Summer Updating...

Once again, it has been forever since we've posted. I must give credit to Preston...he has been the driving force of our blogging. Most posts have been done by him because I am struggling to get into this blog thing. So here I am...posting away :)

Our summer has been incredibly busy, but one of the best summers of our almost 2 year marriage! As seen in our previous post, we graduated from college! We are both very blessed to have jobs here in the valley: Preston is the Assistant Financial Controller at S&S Worldwide, and I am the Marketing Research Assistant at Juniper Systems, Inc. We're getting used to the business world, and we're excited not to return back to school in the fall. Since then, we've gone to Lake Powell, Yellowstone, Jackson Hole, Bear Lake, Island Park (with lots of little camping trips in between) and attempted to buy a house. Not too successful on that one, but we trust that there is a home out there waiting for us.

Our blog is a reason for us to start taking more pictures, something we haven't been too good at. So here are a few pictures from the summer so far.

A game of beach volleyball at Bear Lake for the Gines Family Reunion

Hiking up Willard Peak with Bre & Jake and other S&S employees.

We climbed through that hole behind us to get to the top! Quite the adventure!

Ogden Raptors Baseball Game

Camping up Franklin Basin on the 24th of July.

The Tetons...a quick stop on our way home from Yellowstone.

A little catching up to do...

Soon we will get all our pictures put together so we can share them with you (there isn't that many so don't get too excited!) But here are few...

Our Last Spring Break (as college students)

So we are in St. George for spring break and the first thing we had to do was go to IN-N-OUT burger. We really wanted to go last year but it wasn't finished quite yet. We are staying at our Grandma and Grandpa Perkes' house while we are down here. During the week we will try to post some stuff since we have been incredibly negligent to our little blog.

Here are some pictures that we took quite a while ago, but didn't get to posting until now. They have nothing to do with Spring Break, but here they are for your viewing pleasure!

Our first homemade pizza.

Below are some pictures from the Visa Freestyle Ski Championships in Park City.
